history can be fun an interesting if presented in the right way
i like the "this day in history" and everyone can add their likes
the history "eddities" is great.......develops interest
hope the thread comes up with some good ideas for presenting "history as fun" |

I agree there are a lot of interesting resources out there - the BBC does history well (both radio and TV), so their website is always worth a look.

When I was working with kids learning English -- mostly from Japan or Korea -- about what subjects they liked in school history was often the least favorite and occasionally their favorite, but only rarely were they neutral about it. |

It was only when I was on my own and started reading lots of history that I became fascinated with it. Certainly teachers should be able to present history in an interesting way. |
